Frankfort, KY (November 10, 2021) Congressman Brett Guthrie, who has represented Kentucky’s second congressional district since January 2009, filed for reelection today with a massive war chest and clear message. Known for delivering results and standing up for conservative values, Guthrie is seeking another term to “fight against the socialist agenda of Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, which is hurting Kentucky families and encroaching on our personal freedoms.”

“The Biden/Pelosi agenda is sending America down a path that we simply can’t afford or abide, and I won’t stand for it. Kentucky values are being degraded, personal freedoms are under attack, and their reckless tax-and-spend policies are impacting Kentuckians at the gas pump and grocery store,” Guthrie said. “My priorities include standing up for pro-life values, holding Dr. Fauci accountable, protecting the Second Amendment, stopping critical race theory, and combating the Democrats ‘war on work.’”

“Our children and grandchildren’s future are at stake. I am working hard to stop these liberal power grabs and ensure a safe, prosperous America for everyone,” Guthrie added.

Brett serves as the top Republican on Energy and Commerce Committee’s Health Subcommittee. In this position, he leads the fight for lower costs in health care and keeping the government out of the doctor-patient relationship. In his role on the communications and consumer protection subcommittees, he is leading the charge for better and faster internet service in rural areas and protecting consumer privacy online.

“It is a privilege to represent Kentucky’s second district. Every vote I cast is on behalf of the people I represent. I take my responsibilities seriously and look forward to talking with folks across the district about their priorities and hopes for the future,” Guthrie said.

At the end of the last quarter, Guthrie’s campaign committee had over $2 million banked for his campaign. Guthrie says he plans to run a “positive, future-focused campaign that draws a clear line between socialism and freedom, and why conservatives must fight harder than ever to preserve the American dream.”
